Polk City Pet Licenses:             

Every owner of a dog or a cat six(6) Months old or older shall produce a Pet license from the City Clerk’s Office each year.  Penalty after March 31st

Snow Ordinance

The Polk City Snow Ordinance is in effect from November 1 through April 1.  Any person parking on any public street which impedes snow removal is subject to a summons.

  Water Bill Drop Off

Water bills can be put in the letter drop box located at corner of 3rd. and Van Dorn Streets.
 

Vacation Time

If you are taking a vacation and would like the police to keep a watch on your residence, please call City Hall with the following information: your name, address, date leaving and returning, and a person to contact in case of any problems.  Also any additional information such as a light you might be leaving on or someone who will be picking up your mail. 

  Street Light Outage

If there is a street light in your neighborhood, you may contact Mid-American several ways to make a report.  Either call 252-6549,  or email dlharwood@midamerican.com, or fax them to 252-6464.  You may also call City Hall to Report the outage.

  Open Burning Policy

 

The City of Polk City has adopted the International Fire Code which allows for recreational fires as long
